What are "personal" data?

Collecting personal data
Your visit to our Web site is stored only as an anonymous "hit" for statistical purposes. It is not associated with any personal data. We record the name of your Internet service provider, the Web site you came to our site from, the pages of our site that you visit, and the date and duration of your visit. We use the resulting anonymous data solely for statistical purposes, so we can improve our site constantly and make it more useful to you.

When we ask you to input information about yourself, the data is transferred in encrypted form over the Internet using 128-bit SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layers), an internationally recognized security standard. Forms are routed automatically to the appropriate department of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group for their type, and there the information is processed on secure computers.

Do you store cookies on my hard drive?
We do store cookies on your hard drive. They contain only a unique number that has no meaning outside our Web site. We use these cookies to make our entire site available to you and to make it easier for you to input data next time you visit us.
