HANSAINVEST focuses on Brussels
Being the seat of the European Union makes Brussels, next to Paris and London, one of the most sought-after metropolises in Europe. Like a magnet, the city attracts political stakeholders, lobbyists and meanwhile also large companies. For the political and economic world, Brussels has become a place of international junction, where the demand for presentable real estate still keeps on growing.

One of the investors in large office complexes in the capital city of the Belgium kingdom is HANSAINVEST, capital investment company and subsidiary company of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group. The corporation, ranking among the Top Ten of German primary insurers in Germany, is managing capital assets exceeding EUR 30 billion.

At present, HANSAINVEST is in charge of real estate assets of around EUR 2.3 billion in European office metropolises, which includes many real estate properties in Brussels. A part of them is to be assigned to the Open Real Estate Fund HANSAimmobilia (ISIN DE0009817700). Further objects are located in special funds, maintained by HANSAINVEST for institutional investors. In these days, a new lessee, "Sanoma magazines Belgium" - the largest publishing company in the sector of weekly and monthly journals in Belgium - has moved into an object of one of these special funds.

HANSAINVEST provides the publishing company with an office complex in Diegem-Machelen. The new headquarters of Sanoma, only few minutes drive away from the airport Brussels-Zaventem, are located in illustrious company of other corporate headquarters, like EXXON, Canon or KPMG. The connection to the highway network is excellent as well, and the publishing company can have 267 car parking spaces at its disposal. The real estate covers 12,800 qm of usable area and satiesfies both visually and technically the requirements of modern architecture at a high stage.

The European Union will stay in Brussels, and its enlargement to 25 member states in total will continue to boost the demand already existing for office capacities. These are good prospects for the real estate investments of HANSAINVEST, which will still keep an eye on Brussels as a place for investments.
