SIGNAL IDUNA Group and SEB AG agree upon co-operation
The SEB AG and the SIGNAL IDUNA Group, Dortmund / Hamburg, are going to cooperate within insurance sales from 2005 on. For this purpose, the bank concluded a contractual agreement with DEUFINANZ Vermittlungs-Aktiengesellschaft for independent partners of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group on procurement of life, pension and health insurance products. Against a background of radical restrictions with statutory pension insurance and new savings promotions, according to the act on pension incomes, both partners perceive a strong growth market, particularly with respect to pension insurance products that provide good conditions for a successful co-operation.

SEB AG is the German subsidiary of Swedish Skandinaviska Enskilda Banks, with 5 million customers and about 20,000 employees, constituting one of the largest financial service corporations in Northern Europe.
In Germany, SEB attends to about 1 million customers and has 175 branches. The bank operates on  the market for private customers, real estate, institutional customers as well as corporations.

DEUFINANZ is a subsidiary of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group, responsible for the nationwide co-operation with brokers, multiple agents and banks.
With premium income amounting to EUR 4.4 billion and about 10.6 million insured people and contracts, SIGNAL IDUNA is one of the ten largest insurance groups in Germany.
