SIGNAL IDUNA Poland awarded a prize

SIGNAL IDUNA Poland Insurance AG, Warsaw, a 100% subsidiary company of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group, Dortmund/Hamburg, has recently been awarded the Polish "Alicja 2005" prize. They received the award for the private health insurance they introduced last year. The chairman of the Board of Directors accepted the "Alicja" prize in Warsaw. The award was given by the high-circulation lifestyle magazine "Twój Styl" (Eng.: "Your Style") for the 14th time.

With its new branch, SIGNAL IDUNA Poland has introduced a "modern and innovative product" with a good price /performance ratio. Prof. Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, president of the jury and former president of the National Bank of Poland, justified the decision. "Our private health insurance fulfils the wishes of many people, who increasingly want medical treatment at Western European levels and without long waiting periods, which are unfortunately frequent in this country," Choda replied in his acknowledgement.

SIGNAL IDUNA provides insurance services in the domain of outpatients and - as the first insurer in the country - for inpatients, too. It is also possible to conclude group contracts. The offer is adressed especially to employers who wish to bond their employees to their company and provide them and their family members with good medical care. SIGNAL IDUNA Poland compensates the shortfalls of the Polish health care system, which is often considered to be insufficiently funded.
