SI Re is a subsidiary wholly owned by SIGNAL IDUNA Allgemeine Versicherung AG. It was established in the town of Zug towards the end of 2003 as a joint-stock company. SI Re has an assignment within the SIGNAL IDUNA group:

• to establish itself as an important market participant for small and medium-sized insurance firms;
• to offer reinsurance solutions that are in line with the risk management requirements of the insurance companies;
• to provide cost-effective reinsurance.
  

Our underwriting focus is in the area of property and accident reinsurance. Our geographical emphasis is on continental Europe.
The company is a working member in the APREF (Association des Professionnels de la Réassurance en France).

Figures
Our gross premiums written showed an income of 88 million euros in 2008. SI Re's share capital was 62.5 million euros.
